Jon Stewart to Host the Academy Awards. We all knew Chris Rock wouldn't be back. He was offered the job but turned it down. And one of Oscar's most popular hosts, Billy Crystal, also said no to returning for the 78th Academy Awards. Today, after months of speculation, the Motion Picture Academy of Arts and Sciences made it official: "The Daily Show" host Jon Stewart will serve as ringleader at the March 5th star-studded event.

Resolutions of Celebrities? This much we know. Making New Year's resolutions is just setting yourself up for dissappointment. Eventually, we all succumb to our temptations. It's so much easier to make resolutions on behalf of other people. So, here goes:

Angelina Jolie and Brad Pitt: Adopt Tom and Katie's newborn.
President Bush: Renew your Spy Museum membership.
Paris Hilton and Nicole Richie: End the feud. America needs you now more than ever.
Kate Bosworth, Lindsay Lohan, Mary-Kate Oslen: Binge. Don't purge.
Bush twins: Join the Army. Make your dad proud.
Kate Moss: Become the spokesperson for Coke.
Martha Stewart: Do 6 more months in the slammer. It was a great career move for the first time.
Hurricanes: Enough already. Seriously.
