continuing what i started

Honestly, I have not updated because I've been so.. busy? And when I do have the time, I am not in the mood. Well, not this time!

First and foremost, I'd like to wish all the Muslims a happy fasting month! I have been waiting for the tranquility of the fasting month. It brings bliss really as we think about the millions of people who starve.. and not just until sunset like the Muslims when break their fast, but for days.. or sometimes even die of hunger.

Where did I stop? Oh, while enjoying my never-ending summer in Brunei, I have been given the opportunity to see my very own Dad cycle for 133km from KB to Muara for the Heart of Borneo Challenge. Well, he had few pit stops of course but yea, 133km?? The whole thing took about 9 hours.

Well, unfortunately I couldn't join my family to see him finish the race because I had to drive to Tutong to meet up with my BruWick fellowmates for our very own beach outing. The turn-up wasn't so..

...yea.

Then we met up again for dinner few days after at Korean Restaurant and then Dream Cones.

Yes, it was in the news that my Dad got reshuffled.. so he is no longer who he was but fear not, it only means he has a lot more time in his hands for us!

Anyway, then a day before Nads left, she treated us for lunch at Pizza Hut. Thanks for fitting us in your ever so busy schedule :). We miss you.

Well, that wasn't a lot now was it.. Haha. Oh well. Ok, two random photos then.

I took of my cousin's son :). And of my other cousin's son. And these boys are cousins. Haha.

Well, since it's the fasting month, gone are the days of going to Fitness Zone and welcome the baking frenzy (hence, weight gain). I've been baking the popular cherry chocolate chip cookies, then the delicious melt-in-your-mouth chocolate cake (recipe from my cousin's blog *click*), my not-so-awesome scones and very sticky peanut butter cupcakes. Phew! So while waiting for all that to finish, I'll bake something else.. maybe fairy cakes with colourful icing. :D

These Brownie Cupcakes with Milo Buttercream Frosting were served at a recent family function. Very yummy!

Girls, sungkai together soon, let me know ;)

Twas a Manchy Manchy weekend~

Yes, to all of you who have patiently waited for my long long post about my Manchy Manchy weekend. Here it is. No I'm referring to you Con or you Izz :p.

First we picked Nads from train station at 8pm on Friday

Then we had pizza at Pizza Co.

Afterwards we had icecream at Moonlight

Then we turned silly and had icecream outside IN THE COLD

Then we behaved like lovely little girls for the Brumanch Talentime thing for Aiman. It was Ruzanna's birthday too.

Then we had Ruzi Ruzi night at Aiman's room (lampu bertutup tu masa atu, but the flash made it look like we had the lights switched on) Arah Ruzanna's site ada video ia blow candle (cali), kalau inda kamu tunggu saja til the next time I blog to upload the video. Hehe.

Then we had a silly silly moment

Then after sending Ruzi off at the train station, the wind was trying to blow the remaining non-Manchy people but failed.

And the new friends we made. NOT. Ani orang siasi kan bergambar.

Basically, I arrived in the afternoon of Friday, 9th at the station after Mali arrived. To kill time, we tried my first halal food at Manchy. Was it good or was it good. Mmm MMMMM..
We went back to train station with Elmi and Mali to wait for Nads, Aiman was still having rehearsals. And we slowly saw some other Bruneians and made plans to eat at Pizza Co.
The next day, we went to get Ruzi's cake in the morning and had little time to go back to their crib and go back to train station. So, I became the only person to greet Ruzanna on her bday and the rest followed later. We made plans to have breakfast along Aiman's street but we kinda instead had brunch/lunch at 12. So the talentime thing was in an hour or so. And we were there just in time and had good seats for sorta latecomers.

At night we had dinner at Chicken Cottage while we left Aiman and Mali alone. Little did Ruzi know we had a surprise for her. It wasn't as big as the ones we have at lunch in JIS but we still had a pretty good one. We then sent her off that night and I had a good 8hr sleep afterwards at 2am. Najib and Fauzi made a visit to their place.
The next day Elmi cooked breakfast and I looked on while the rest were still in bed. They all had breakfast in their Pj's! All the kambings. We didn't plan the day well so only had enough time to let Nads catch her 2.45pm train and mine at 3.11pm.
I must say, there were pretty good talents around the UK. We had a little JIS reunion too with Hafiz Nordin, Hafiz Matsetejo and Najib. Ada arah YouTube kali tu.

Thanks for a nice weekend, girls.
Oh and about the Lufbru weekend.

LufBruWick weekend
BruWick did well in both netball and football :) Hannan scored one winning goal and Rory scored a goal as well. Didn't manage to see Hannan play cos I was playing netball. I was slightly injured from the last night's practice but still played. And glad I did. It was fun.

It was fun having Hannan over. And I know he had fun too as he slept over at Haziq's place for two nights and had a good hang out. After sending him off at the train station that Sunday, I went for a retail therapy at the city and still felt lonely.. :( Nani saw me at Primark and could tell that I was feeling sad. But no worries, I will definitely be seeing Hannan really soon.

Thanks for a lovely weekend, honey :)

Guess who had an awesome weekend?

ME!

with Aiman, Izzah and Nads. We had a sleepover for two nights in Nads' cozy room. Actually there were a total of 6 of us, sharing one bathroom! So we had a schedule giving each other 30minutes to use the bathroom. The first night we slept at 3am as we were so busy catching up and gossip2 like we always do.

THEN THE NEXT DAY.. 4 lovely girls got ready for a function held at the Dorchester Hotel, Park Lane..

AND THAT NIGHT, we thought we could catch up on our sleeping.. but no, we slept earliest at 2.30am -_-
and left on Sunday night. Sigh. And I went to get Krispy Kreme 3 times during that weekend. Haha.
I'm going to Manchester next weekend to see Aiman's Brumanch Talent time thing. Should visit Kent soon too.
In case anyone's wondering how Rabs is doing, I think she had her own Raya celebration on the same weekend that the London Raya celebration was on. Check this out. That's Kaydee's friend's blog which I found =).

My last post while in Brunei?

Hi, KL trip was fun.

Okay, this shall be a sad post from me.. thus, a long one, I might add.

For my times in Brunei, I've never had more fun anywhere else than when I'm in school. JIS gave me lots of memories I'll forever cherish, memories I have with close friends like you girls. I shall leave Brunei for University life with a lot to give (and talk about) and a lot more to learn.

Rach, you're one of those newbies like me in 2003 at JIS. We both had 3 months of catching up to do. It was you who came up with this blog idea in the first place and I'm glad that you did! You were the best friend I found at JIS and I'm glad to have met you. If I were given a choice, I would wish for more years to spend with you and I know I'll never get bored of you. Sixth form was tough for us as we had absolutely no classes together so we had little to nothing to talk about. I'll never forgive myself if I ever hurt you. I know you'll be there when I need you. You're the daugther I wished I had. Haha. Hope your relationship with Nick lasts forever.. you have your mommy's blessing!

Nads, you deserve an award for being the most outstanding person. We've been going to the same school without even realising it since Nursery! And you still forgave me after how bitchy I was to you in STPRI (you have forgiven me.. right?). It's like I've known you for years when we've only gotten close. You are the best friend I never realised I had. You're the person I hug most eventhough you're small and tiny (eat more so that it feels like I'm hugging a teddy bear :)) Most of the times, when we talk about liking things in common, I feel that you're DEFINITELY my long lost sister haha. So that our lives would end like in the movies. How nice. And I've told you million times of what a great thing you and Aman have. It really is special and I'm so happy for you.

Aiman, now it feels like I'm talking as though I'm so far away when most of us will be in the same country! You never fail to make me smile even during my hardest times. You're bubbly character makes me wonder.. how old are you really? No really man, how old? Haha, you tend to be the most immature out of us but you still had you're pretty mature moments and I sometimes wonder, is she for real? Oh, of course she is, she was the Boarding House Captain! I'm proud of your achievement and I'm glad we crossed paths. But Brunei damit kan, so I won't lose contact with you even if you're in KB. Right?!?! And appreciate what you've got with Amali Syami Ghani. He's a really good person and no guy's a better person for you than him. He's definitely the one for you. Don't tell him what I said karang ia kambang.

Rabs, why didn't you let me know you were leaving? It makes me sad that we barely spent time together. You've changed since Year 11 and I'm proud of you. I sometimes think you're Vietnamese and to think that you were a vegetarian when you spent years in Australia? What a cool thing to talk about. It's a cool thing to talk about when we spend a day together with the girls, after we're married and have kids. Though I'm not looking forward to our granny years.. aahh I feel my back pain already! Haha. I hope your faith is strong wherever you are. I know I can count on you.

Izzah, who would've thought that you'd be one of the nicest Malay girl to talk to me when I first came to JIS ah? Baik rupanya kau ani ah.. Bila lagi kan berboyfriend Zah? About time yo, the fish in Brunei are running out. And your beauty is starting to fade. Haha nadawah. We planned to fish for Bruneian guys in the UK pasal the ones in Brunei nada hot haha. How's the fishing going up there?~ Don't wait for me because karang I get the good fish, how? Haha. You're the person who I can chat loudly to, on MSN, anywhere! I'll definitely miss your laugh and we're both definitely terrified of gaining weight when we're in the UK. And if we do, let's become gym-partners!

Linie, You're a Hajah already but I keep on forgetting that. That's because your behaviour isn't Hajah-like haha. It would've been very fun to have you join us in the UK but Brunei is our home so we'll come back to see you. I know you're very sad.. maybe the most sad out of all of us pasal kami jauh.. but you know, the only way to remember us is: play NETBALL! Haha tapi jangan nangis2 saja, banjir karang. And then karang when we come back, we don't know where Brunei is because you flooded the country! Ok, that was exaggerating haha. I sometimes wish I could attend a University in Brunei because I don't want to leave this country. Bah nanti Raya don't nangis ah.. we only ever had one Raya convoy thing and that was siuk!

Liana, I think KK trip was the best. I went on that trip hoping to spend time with you out of the girls and I did more than that. We climbed the mountain side by side (most of the time, but only until Laban Rata) and came down last together!! You spent practically more than ONE DAY with me! Jangan pulak awak lupakan saye mase awak di Msia tau. Remember me as the friend who ended up having purple toe nails (til today!) during a KK trip. You might look like the quiet type but once I get you talking, it's non-stop! Good luck with your studies in Malaysia, you can achieve more than you think. And thanks for the lovely memories in KK. Bila lagie nak naik?

All of you girls have always been there for me.. especially during my hardest times and I don't think I'll ever be able to find something that special again. But what you didn't know: I have been in a relationship with Hannan for more than two years now, the second year was mostly on and off but we're now back together. I know you girls care for me (too much, sometimes) but if this one gets messy again, I know you girls would say "I told you so" silently but you know, that's the only way for me to learn right? I'm stilll 18, I'm suppose to make mistakes anyway!

I want to leave but I don't want to leave. I'm getting all teary-eyed about leaving and when thinking about what's going to happen when I come back. Will we be as close as before? What if I mess up our friendship and become a bitchy person? I hope I'll still be able to look for this post next year.

I love you guys very much.. You are the greatest friends I could ever ask for. We're definitely the Venemous Pinks and The Muffins.

"As our lives change from whatever, we will still be friends forever" - Graduation by Vitamin C. It's cheesy but it's how I really feel about you guys :).

I'll check this blog as soon as I get a connection wherever I'm settling in. Look after yourselves.. and please don't forget me. And if I ever (Nauzubillah) get diagnosed with Anterograde Amnesia, please come looking for me!! And assure me you're my friends. Haha.

Farewell ='( (though it doesn't feel like it as most of you left me already!) I've said this many-many times already.. Thanks for the memories, really :).
