I should update before...

..I end up with too many photos to put in one post. Esok lagi kami jalan kan kan kan. :P

Anyway, so, since we SURPRISED our beloved Nadiyah (I can't believe we did what we did =)), I have been having.. outings, netball practices, netball tournament.. etc.

And this post is especially for the ones yang nada facebook :P. My facebook photos (if you guys do check) kinda tell others what my ass has been up to.

Let's start now..

I had lunch at Excapade with my ex-STPRIan friends!

There was actually 10 of us.. but few left before we took this photo. Oh and me posing with B$30 dollars? Yea, that's the change we got after collecting money for the bill.. So we treated ourselves at arcade and then had drinks at Cheezbox haha.

The last few netball practices I had at Menglait

Connie was showing everyone her sweat patch hahaha.

And I was showing this little guy my Batman keychain :D. Only cool people get to see that..

LufBru Summer Games

One of the centres I had to play against had really really bad breath so I complained to Syaz :P

This is the life....

None of my friends were there to support me (well Izzy datang sekajap) but I had Hannan as my other half (almost the whole entire time), who got me water, my specs and my towel after each winning game. Sekali lepas intense games of losing to the other team, lupa tia haha.

Thanks Nan!

We won all of the games in the intergroup thingy which got us into the semis.. but then we lost both games at the semis :(. I was there (UBD Indoor Sports) from 8.15am to 9.30pm. Gila man!

BruWick got 4th out of the 16 teams. So, we're happy! :D

As tradition (in its 3rd year), we organised a dinner meet up with some of the potential Warwickians at Swensen's.

(ANOTHER sweat patch hahaha..)

Then a HUGE BruWick gathering (about 25 of us) at Excapade to congratulate our graduates

LufBru Prize Presentation Night which got BruWick this

And I think that's because we did COUNTLESS of these..

And again..

And again..

And again..

And each one LOUD and clear.. shouting GOOO.. BRUWICK!

Ahh.. I miss netball. The day itself and practicing for the whole thing was a lot of fun.

So, with netball out of its way, I went out with.. Hannan bah eh.

..who surprised me with a new haircut

And we had lunch here. No, banar. Who can tell me where this is? :D

Then we had another lunch

..and came across this weird looking creature..

I brought my siblings out to watch Meet Dave

At Cheezbox for drinks.

I had Teh-C Special at 4 different places within a week! Hahaha.

Hmm.. aside from these photos (which took me more than an hour and it's more than 20 photos! Baru about a week!), I spend about 45mins to an hour at Fitness Zone about 4 times a week. Heh.

See y'all soon! :)

Single

Yes, I thought I should keep the title simple and straight to the point.

So, I'm back. For almost 3 weeks now. If this were winter holidays, I'd be back in the UK within a week! But thank God I have about 2 1/2 months left in Brunei.

Last week my maid+driver went back for a week and we were basically maidless AND driverless. Hence, I had to do some house chores; washing, cooking as well as driving siblings around, picking things up, doing things for Mama etc. It was tiring as there were also functions at my cousin's place but we survived and learned a lot from the whole experience.

I met with Sam, Jun Yee, Adib and the gang plus Nads and Connie my first week back. That was a nice mini "Canteen bench" reunion. The next day I met up with few of my special ex-STPRI classmates and that was so much fun. The whole catching up thing is a lot of fun.

Then few days ago, Aiman was in Bandar so we fitted in a last minute hang out thing. Nads had to be picked up from work and sent back by me unfortunately :P.

I am currently not on an attachment or internship. Yes, makes you wonder what would I be doing for fun. Haha. I've been trying to force myself to go to Bukit Shahbandar one of the mornings but I can hardly wake up at 7am nowadays. I know once I successfully achieve this, the coming days should be fine. I have put on weight though it might not be obvious and my hair is long and needs a cut.

My summer plan is to enjoy home as much as I can.

I have nothing more to say.

Hello!

Rach, MacBook Pro? Coolios!

I finally finished my last paper at 11.30am today! Hooray! I was having eight exam papers for the past two weeks.

And Rach, none of the girls still have exams lah. I think I'm the one who finished last. And WHO blogged first? Haaaah?

Apparently Aiman has her own blog for a month now. I know you "kinda" told us on the tagboard, but that was a bit indirect, don't you think?

Linie! I've seen your blog with your UBD friends, so cute!

Nads and Izzah!! Apa ni balik Brunei sudah and so quiet. Update us!

Will be back in Brunei in 2 weeks. I've got a lot of things to do within that time. Miss all you girls lah.

Will blog about more interesting things soon. It's very hot in Coventry at the moment, today. Haha. Ooh, I'm going to dance the night away tonight with some friends (without drinks!) to celebrate the end of exams! Hooraayy! And tomorrow, I'm planning to go to Cadbury World! Wooohooo.

Bah, ciao.

2008 Greetings

Happy new year!

Today as I walked out of my place of stay at Warwick, I just realised that I'm in universtiy. It's quite a strange feeling because I've no clue on what university was about when I looked upon KaDhil's experience in Surrey University 4 years ago. Seeing students like me walking out of their accommodation, rushing to lectures, it made me realise, I've grown up. A bit too quickly. It rather sucks because I easily feel sad thinking about home.. wanting to come back all the time.

As I stepped into my room on Sunday at noon, after a month of leaving it alone, I broke down. Endlessly. The room was so empty.. sure it had pictures of my family and friends but that just made me cry even more. I am alone now. I was feeling really sad having to continue this life of mine for another three years. I was online with Hannan, asking him why are we doing this to ourselves? Why can't everybody be happy and be at the same place? As sad as I was, Hannan comforted me as he watched me through my webcam with teary eyes but I got a bit better with his company. I am glad I have someone like Hannan to help me through all of this because it's very painful at the beginning.

I miss home, I really do. This feeling is funny because I was home last Saturday and today I am working on essays and going to lectures. Am I missing something? How did that happen?

This year, I am motivated. Sure, I'm not going to be home until 6 months later but I'd like to focus on succesfully finishing first year, even if it doesn't really matter. As I think about how my life would mainly be based in the UK for three years, I know it'll only be the first year that is the hardest. I can get through this. I do feel glad I got to go home but it seems like I didn't spend enough time there..

My siblings are who I miss the most. My parents would be making a visit very soon and I'd expect more of that because well, my Dad's always flying.

I had a good time in Brunei. Hannan brought me out a lot: twice to Bukit Shahbandar, watching sunset the beach on the last day of 2007, singing songs together as he played the guitar on the first day of 2008, brunch and dinner together with the family, helping me with my essays (emotionally and getting data), coming to my house just to visit and he was always checking on me everyday. I never knew I'd ever make such an impact on someone, let alone Hannan. And to think that it has been more than 2 years now? I can't believe it. Yes, I'll never forget the ups and downs but everything looks good now. And he makes me really happy.

My lunch date with the girls was satisfying, being able to catch up even if there were only few of us. I feel guilty because of spending just 2 hours with them out of my 25 days in Brunei. In the summer, I promise I'll plan the outings better.

I'm off to continuing my essays now. I am feeling better since I came.

Sorry for the emotional post, girls.

saya sudah pulang!

I'm back from Singapore. Arrived just after 12am and today I woke up after 10..

I KNOW!! I'm not the girl to wake up at such a time of the day but I did! And I got dizzy.

So. Before by 6pm flight last Saturday, Hannan brought me to Bukit Shahbandar. It was.. gila (panas and ngalih). But not as gila as KK, of course. But seriously, I do feel a bit fatter since I left for the UK. And I'm not just being a person who's obsessed with weight. I want to go there for again and again before balik UK. After Bukit Shahbandar, we went for brunch and had Murtabak! Ooh nyummy, lama sudah inda makan bah. Afterwards, we changed into cleaner clothes and hung at his place before hunting for.. GOLDFISH! For myself to keep, of course.

I went home just in time before Mum went to check-in our stuff. I realised that the Sun and I don't get along too well. I always get dizzy after being out in the Sun for a long time. And it's not just plain dizzy, it's like banar2 paning and won't end until I actually fall asleep. Gila, I think I am exaggerating.

Singapore was fun. Christmas was siuk (pasal the hotel management and staff got us christmas gifts and also had a birthday dinner for Najmi the night after we arrived). Shopping went alright.

Bila kan jalan ni? Inda jadi2 and I am a very busy person. Inda kali :p.

And today, Hannan came over and had lunch at my place. We had a good time with my siblings. We played the piano, the new Monopoly game Najmi got for Christmas (yang pakai debit card atu wah, iatah kami sakai haha), the three cute kittens (lumpat2 durang in the dining room and masa lari2 kan stop, they were almost sliding as it was slippery) and the new table football Najmi got as his birthday present from all of us. So it was fun and actually went by pretty fast.

Ok, I'm done for now. Nads, you lagi blog. Oh and please don't disappoint me :p.

it has been 3 weeks since the last post?

My.

Hi everyone, I'm home. Term 1 has finally ended for me. I must say, it has been fun.

I've been in London for the past three weekends. My parents were there for 2 weeks, then there was Sultan's Ziarah on one of the Sundays. And on my the last weekend in the UK, I had the opportunity to watch a musical called Wicked just a day before my flight back home. It was good being that it was my first musical.

Nees: Hi! Tengah memblog ni. How are you?

What to say what to say. During the last three weeks, I've been doing a lot (no, not studying of course!). First we went ice skating with a bunch of Bruneians for well, 2 hours and we only had to pay 6pounds for that. The next day, I actually had an Accounting assessment but that turned out well. Then on our last night in Coventry, Connie, Kamilla and I along with two friends went to Birmingham for dinner. Afterwards, we had a Secret Santa gifts exchange session in one of the many Bruneian houses at Highland Road. That's in Coventry. Oh, and I've finally found a place to stay next year, which I am so excited about.

Yes it's early in the morning. That's because I'm still jet-lagged. I woke up at 4am.

Anyway, I shall leave you with photos as that pretty much saves me from having to say so much while a picture says a thousand words. I'm home.

Before it snowed..

Connie and I baked Cherry Chocolate Chip Cookies.

Then, we had snowball fights. After it stopped snowing. Haha.

Few days later, we surprised Kamilla on her 19th birthday :). This was also the day where the Brunei Warwick Society was officially recognised by the Students' Union. Hooray!

The next day, we had a Christmas dinner at MyChina, Coventry.

Little did Yung Hui know that we were giving her an advanced 20th birthday celebration. As her cake arrived, she kept telling the waiter to give it to Kamilla haha.

BruWick Elections, the following Monday. Connie and I are one of the 10 committee members. We are both Events Coordinators. Woohoo! And oh, Kamilla is the Welfare Officer :)

The next weekend, was Sultan's visit, where 2000+ people actually attended.

So we had a little JIS reunion. But didn't get a photo of that reunion. Haha.
The following Wednesday, after shopping for a dress to wear for the Wicked musical, we went ice skating at SkyDome. It started at 8pm, ended at 10pm. So if you come really early, 6 pounds is definitely worth it!
The "Reds". We were a bit too late for World Aids Day. Haha.
The next night, we gathered at No.59, Highland Road for a Secret Santa gifts exchange.

Kamilla was my Secret Santa and she got me earrings :). While I got my Secret Santa a coffee maker! :D
These were presents from two guys for these two girls. Haha, cute.
After settling at Brunei Hall and a few Krispy Kremes, Connie and I got ready for Wicked musical.

Nope, can't see my dress here. But look at Con's!
Hmmm.. you can see a bit of my dress here. Haha. Yes, it was glittery grey.
That was our last time spent together. We then hung around Victoria Station for about an hour before we said our last goodbyes and before Connie and I made our way back to Brunei Hall to look forward to..

Our flights back to Brunei the next day :)

That's A LOT of photos. Geez =/. Next time, I'll blog more often so that I don't put all photos taken in 3 weeks at once. Oh and please do click on the photos for larger images :D. By the way, I think this whole post took me more than an hour to make and I editted it a lot of times. So..

Enjoi.
