when you don't know..

Olympics. Have you ever wondered whether it was fair to allow a horse to participate in the Equestrian event for the Olympics? If you really think about it, it is actually the horse who would is cheered for. Not the guy on the horse.

Then, can you imagine all the other animals having a protest going: "Allow (other) Animals to Participate in the Olympics!"

That's where the imagination starts..
Swimming: Dolphin and Sharks. Did you know the swimmers' attire are mostly made out of the sharks' skin (for speed)? Elephants would participate in the weightlifting. Kangaroos would do the long jump/ high jump. Cheetahs for running. Monkeys for gymnastics. You can do the matchings yourself, for fun. But then we have blanks for archery, for example or cycling.

That's why there's no such thing as Animals' Olympics.

...That was gay and lame....

So. Where have I been?

Zim in the house!

Hello again.

Well well, since my last post, I have accomplished a lot of things. I am supposed to be packing now but I don't know how to continue packing.

So. What have I been doing since then?

Monday: Went to Leamington with some friends by bus. At night, went to the Student Union Bar for drinks and dancing.. was super packed though.

Tuesday: Went to Cadbury World! Free chocolates!

Wednesday: Bicester Village, yet again

Thursday: LONDON! I got to see my Dad and sister. Then I went to Madame Tussauds with Connie and 2 friends, heehee.

Friday: Alton TOWERS! It was awesome, though I wished we had more time for more rides. Must go again soon. Haha.

Today: Packing. Meeting. SATC at night.

Tomorrow: LONDON! Celebrating Father's Day with my Dad and my sister. But HE doesn't know it. Heh heh.

Day after tomorrow: Moving in all my things to my new home in Coventry. So, you girls MUST come to Coventry next year.

Day after day after tomorrow: London? Maybe. Then it will be 5 DAYS TO COMING HOME!

Will post photos once I snatch them from my friends. I didn't bring my camera cos I know my memory card isn't large enough. Haha.

Okie. Update me =(

Hello!

Rach, MacBook Pro? Coolios!

I finally finished my last paper at 11.30am today! Hooray! I was having eight exam papers for the past two weeks.

And Rach, none of the girls still have exams lah. I think I'm the one who finished last. And WHO blogged first? Haaaah?

Apparently Aiman has her own blog for a month now. I know you "kinda" told us on the tagboard, but that was a bit indirect, don't you think?

Linie! I've seen your blog with your UBD friends, so cute!

Nads and Izzah!! Apa ni balik Brunei sudah and so quiet. Update us!

Will be back in Brunei in 2 weeks. I've got a lot of things to do within that time. Miss all you girls lah.

Will blog about more interesting things soon. It's very hot in Coventry at the moment, today. Haha. Ooh, I'm going to dance the night away tonight with some friends (without drinks!) to celebrate the end of exams! Hooraayy! And tomorrow, I'm planning to go to Cadbury World! Wooohooo.

Bah, ciao.

There must be something more

Hey girls, how’s everyone doing in the Queen’s country?

Brunei is very busy nowadays esp during the weekends. Man, Gadong is bustling, people are going shopping for almost anything. I think the sales are still on. Charles & Keith are selling belts now. Sunglasses coming soon in the next shipment I think. Its just really hard to get around during this time of the year.

Oh! But then, when its sungkai time, the highways are like deserted! Oh and there was one time it was like 630pm, it wasn’t very dark out yet but it was getting dark la, then like my mum and I were driving on the highway to the airport and they streetlights weren’t working and there were absolutely no cars on the road, I felt like I was in a ghost town! It had that eerie feeling. Eee.. anyways…

Hari Raya is just round the corner. Which means visiting people which = green packets & makan! I don’t know why I just love malay food and Indian food like from C.A. Mohammed and stuff. Its just part of my Bruneian culture I guess. But I feel like each year now I visit less and less houses. And now all of you are in UK, even less lagis! Haiz…

Nevertheless I shall always treasure the memories of when we ber-raya-ed together. Hehe.. it was FUN!

I’m starting to get bored at home. And believe or not I’m on dial-up using NetKad cause the e-speed bill hasn’t been paid yet. Blehz!

I’m running out of things to say already so yea, I think I’ll end this post here. I know, I know, I’m like the shortest blogger in this blog! =P

I think I should blog while I have the chance

I went to Coventry by car yesterday morning to start my orientation at Warwick.

..

Yes, University of Warwick. Not Nottingham.

Connie wasn't as surprised as I thought she'd be because she said "I knew!!" as she saw me when I called out her name as she was entering the Students Union. I haven't seen or heard from Kamilla though. I haven't seen other new Bruneians too.

Warwick is a very nice place. The weather is nice and windy. My accomodation for now is Westwood which is very far from Warwick Business School. It's still empty because the non-international students are only moving in during the weekend. I actually didn't get into my first or second choice of accomodation. Warwick is apparently quite full at the moment so I might have a roommate for a while. That's also kinda why they put me so far away.

I'm back in London now at the hotel and going back to Coventry later because I signed up for this Stratford-upon-Avon trip at 10.30. Then maybe spend the day with my parents and sister. My parents are a tad worried about not settling yet, so they changed their flight from Thurs noon to Friday night. I've opened a bank account but my cheque book and credit card at HSBC aren't ready and I'll need to pay fees on Friday.

So yea, there are a lot of activities during the orientation til Friday but not all are compulsory. Warwick is on it's second year of having a Prayer Hall for Muslims. That's so cool! And there's a Halal food trip to Foleshill, Coventry on the 6th. And the Societies Fair is not til 3rd & 4th. That's probably when I'll be able to meet the current Bruneian students and sign up for the Bruneian's society. Can't wait!

It's kinda hard now because I keep commuting from Coventry to London.. but no one's staying in my place yet and I'm pretty scared about living alone.

And oh, while having dinner at Khan's two nights ago, Izzy and his dad passed by, and he then dropped by to say hello. I thought they were some random Bruneians that I didn't know pasal Izzy had a different hairstyle haha. I dropped by Brunei Hall later that evening but left pasal I thought Nads and Mali sembahyang sudah.

So yes, an update from me. I'm not sure if I can easily access to the internet there.

Ooh, Zah, I'm using Orange.

Btw, the time of the post is London time.

Til next time.

Greetings

I'm in London! Til tomorrow morning.

Rabs was in the same plane as me from Spore to UK! Haha, who would've known. But she wasn't going to stay in London, she was taking a coach to Leceister. Heh heh.

I was thinking of stopping by Brunei Hall later in the evening but Nads hasn't replied me.

It's 17 degrees, windy but for me not cold enough to wear a jacket. Awu, karang damam ni si Zimah.

Thank God ada connection arah the hotel.. Though I'm not too sure about the connection at where I'm staying. That's all tomorrow and today have fun.

A turn around in things

Well today I went to see this "Uni agent". Don't know who introduce to my dad one. Anywayss.... it was helpful. Cause I got to have a better view of what Unis might be able to still accept me. And since I'm taking a gap year. I have almost all the time in the world to apply to one. heheh.. but I shouldn't take anything for granted.

Nads.. I can't believe today is like your LAST day in Brunei. Well.. til' Dec of course. But still! =( Why so soon kan? Did you manage to get the scholarship btw?

Zy... When are we gonna hang again before the rest of you leave?

Linie.. did you get in UBD? You're just gonna apply for next year is it?

So yea... these few days I'm just gonna kick back and relax and oh also find a suitable uni to go to. I'm probably gonna do something on Multimedia and Graphics Communication now. The only thing is I dunno how to enter anything for the folio. Yikes! Unless I take a short course on graphics designing or something. I always had an interest in this and it would be my second choice other than engineering. I so wanted to do engineering but then like as you know, my Physics sucks big time!~ tee hee...

Well Nads this is Goodbye for now. Big hugs you. All the best in UK ya? Muahzzz... XOXOXO

This is all for now. Over and out!

Balik berbalik

I went to JIS just now hoping to take the exam result slips but apparently they are not given out yet. So like I have to faithfully return next week. I dropped by into Mr.Sandow's office to say hello. I'm so relieved that he did not bomb me for getting low grades. Instead, he gave me a friendly greeting and asked about my further studies---well which was not exactly the best topic to touch on either but I'm glad he was concerned. I'm really grateful for all hes done for me and how hes been such an encouragement over the 2 years in A Level. Especially when he knew I was really weak in the subject. Without him, I don't think I'd even be able to scrape a pass for Physics.

Ooh and and... did you notice that they refurnished and re-tiled the Student Centre? Looks so... much newer. heheh..
